Bob started Road Racing in the Stock Car Championship Series in 2002. He finished the season 5th in points in SCCS in 2003 with no victories, but consistent finishes. In 2004 the series name changed to Stock Car Road Race series. Bob finished 2nd in points in 2004 with 1 win at Road Atlanta, and top 3 finishes all year.

An on track incident with another car that apparently had brake failure caused Bob a podium finish at Virginia International Raceway Labor Day week-end in September, 2004. Bob also brought his #19 to a 4th place finish in points in the American v8 stock car series, despite running a limited number of races.

Crew chief and owner of the #34 is Charlie Styles of Rocky Mount North Carolina. Crew chief and owner of the #19 is Ron Fariss of Lynchburg, Virginia.
